How SkillBay handles account details, community activity, learning records, and support messages.
Last updated: 25 October 2026. This notice describes the current development application. Operator contact details, applicable jurisdictions, provider terms, and statutory retention requirements must be finalized before a public launch.
Information you provide
SkillBay stores account identity, email verification and session records, profile details, community memberships and roles, course progress and certificates, discussions, messages, event registrations, notification preferences, and support submissions. Financial records are stored separately from content access.
How information is used
These records support sign-in, community participation, learning, registrations, notifications, billing reconciliation, account security, and support. Passwords are handled by the authentication system. Never include passwords, authenticator secrets, payment-card details, or other sensitive credentials in public content or Contact messages.
Who can see it
Public community and course descriptions are discoverable. Private community content requires authorized access. Direct and group conversations are limited to their participants. Community managers see the membership information required to manage their space. Platform support, moderation, analytics, and finance permissions are separately scoped. Certificates expose their verification fields through public verification.
Cookies and delivery
Session cookies keep you signed in. Security and financial notifications are essential; other email categories can be controlled in notification preferences. This local application uses local media storage and local email previews; production delivery and storage integrations are pending.
Retention and account requests
Financial and audit records may need to be retained. No statutory retention period is promised in this development notice. Request account deletion in Profile: sessions are revoked, memberships end and owned communities are archived. Eligible identity profiles are anonymized; unresolved financial, purchased-access, certificate or media obligations keep finalization pending. Authored posts, messages and reviews remain with Deleted member attribution after anonymization. Contact records follow-up requests but does not itself complete deletion.
Questions and corrections
Use Contact to raise questions about your data or request a correction. Only send the details necessary to explain your request. Support submissions are visible to authorized support staff and have no public lookup endpoint.
